The Wii was designed to cater to a more “casual” audience than most video games consoles and there are many stories about how successful Nintendo has been at doing just that.  Yesterday, I discovered I have my own anecdotal story to add —  My uncle gave my grandmother a Wii and she was pretty ecstatic.  I helped them get it hooked up and while I was leaving to come back home, they were in a heated Wii Sports bowling match :-) .
