No soon had I mentioned that I tried to stay out of politics than McCain announces his VP selection. I said it before but you have to be somewhat excited about this years presidential election. Two reasonable candidates and now, a guaranteed “first” – either the first minority president or the first female vice-president. Well done, McCain and Obama. Well done.

I must say I wasn’t excited about McCain until now. I was having fun arguing politics with some friends a few months ago and I said that McCain would have to choose Palin or Joe Lieberman as a running mate if he wanted to win. Thankfully he chose Palin because Lieberman has been getting flaky as of recently. You should see if you can find some interviews with Palin. I have only seen 3 interviews that she’s done over the past year and she just impressed me.
I think McCain just gave himself a decent chance at winning. I’d never heard of Palin but you have to think some of the Hillary supporters who aren’t sold on Obama will now seriously consider McCain. I’ll have to look up some of the interviews with Palin.
Palin won’t bring in any Hillary supporters.
Palin = Pro Life
Hillary and her supporters = Pro Choice
