I try not to get too involved in politics mostly because of the partisanship and incompetence at all levels but every now and then, someone says something that just rings true.
We are borrowing money from China, to buy oil from the Middle East, so we can burn it in ways that destroys our future.

First, it was the Montauk Monster, a rodent/turtle/dog “discovered” a couple of weeks ago. A few days ago, it was the Chupacabra, a vampiric dog. Today, it’s Bigfoot, the elusive man-ape also known as Sasquatch. Not surprisingly, the Montauk Monster was apparently a hoax and the Chupacabra just looks like an odd dog or coyote. I guess I’m just a skeptic but I also expect the Bigfoot capture to be revealed as a fake. It’s disappointing though since it is quite fascinating when animals that were thought to be extinct or legendary turn out to be real. The oddest thing is that so many “sightings” have occurred in such a short span… I sort of expect the Loch Ness monster to be found working at a pub in Edinburgh next week.
